We will do 24/7

(ז) וַיִּקַּח סֵפֶר הַבְּרִית וַיִּקְרָא בְּאָזְנֵי הָעָם וַיֹּאמְרוּ כֹּל אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יְהוָה נַעֲשֶׂה וְנִשְׁמָע.

(7) And he [Moses] took the book of the covenant, and read in the hearing of the people; and they said: ‘All that the LORD has spoken will we do, and obey [we will listen].’

  1. How can you do something before you listen (to hear what you are supposed to do)?
  2. What does this willingness to do and then listen tell us about the Jewish people?
  3. This is verse 24/7 of Exodus. What do you think about that?
