Meir Ibn Gabbai’s Avodat HaKodesh is a four-part comprehensive summary of the entire doctrine of Kabbalah — before the further development of kabbalistic ideas later that century in Safed. Its four major subject areas are the unity of God, worship of God, the purpose of man, and explanations of other esoteric elements of the Torah. It was first printed between 1566 and 1568 with the title Marot Elohim. The work remained popular even into the 20th century.
