IN A NUTSHELL
Kedoshim continues the discussion of the holiness laws that began in the previous parasha, changing focus from the world of the Mishkan (the portable Temple) and the kohanim (priests) to the Israelites as a whole. The people of Israel are commanded to be holy because “I, the Lord your God, am holy.” These laws include the commands to “love your neighbour and the stranger” as well as other ritual laws. The second half of the parasha deals with forbidden relationships and prohibited pagan practices.
