Issur v’Heter l’Rabbeinu Yerucham is a 13th or 14th-century composition on dietary laws. First published in the 19th century by Rabbi Avraham Abukara, the work was mistakenly attributed to the Spanish medieval legal authority Rabbeinu Yerucham ben Meshullam. Later scholarship demonstrated that the work was actually authored by a French rabbi bearing the name “Yerucham,” a student of the Tosafist Rabbeinu Peretz . The work is based heavily on the teachings of Rabbeinu Peretz and the Sha’arei Dura, as well as on the Sefer HaTerumah, Sefer Mitzvot Gadol and Sefer Mitzvot Katan. It is quoted frequently in the Beit Yosef.
