לַעַז m. (preced.) 1) foreign tongue, esp. Greek. Meg. 18ᵃ בל׳ יוני the laʿaz (of Mish. ib. II, 1) means Greek. Ib. שכתובה בל׳ יוני Ms. M. (ed. יונית) written in Greek (translation).
