The Zichronot paragraph says that God remembered Noah and the animals and saved them during the flood.
Earlier in the Zichronot paragraph it says:
For there is no forgetfulness before the throne of Your Glory, and there is nothing hidden from Your eyes. You remember all that has been done, and even all that which is formed is not concealed from You. All is revealed and known before You, Adonai, our God Who observes and looks until the end of all generations.
- Can there be remembering without forgetting?
- What do you think it means that God remembered Noah? What did He remember?
- Can you think of anyone else in the Tanakh that God remembered?
- What do you think we want God to remember on Rosh Hashanah? Are there things that we might prefer that He didn't remember?
For more on the subject of remembering on Rosh Hashanah, read Professor Rachel Adelman's article, The Paradigm of the Barren Woman: How God ‘Remembers’ on Rosh Hashanah.
Clue #5 The last section is called Shofarot (Shofar blasts). This section contains a psalm that describes praising God with song and instruments. First, find the psalm by looking for the repeating words "Praise Him". Click on the text to open the resource panel and open the connected text in the Tanakh. Then, click again to open another resource panel and look for the sheet with clue #6.
Bonus question: How many instruments are mentioned in the psalm?
