About Be'er Sheva
Be’er Sheva on the Babylonian Talmud is a commentary by Rabbi Yissachar Eilenburg, a rabbi in the late 16th and early 17th centuries in Goritz and Moravia. The collection consists of tosafist-style commentary on six tractates for which there are missing sections of Tosafot commentaries. The work’s title refers to its seven sections: one for each of its six Talmud commentaries and a section of responsa entitled Ner Torah (“Candle of Torah”).
