In this week portion, Vaera, tells about the first 7 plagues of Egypth out of 10.
The plague of Egypt represents a program for all the protagonists : the hebrews, Pahrao, the people of Egypt. Each representing parts of the self which makes the story relevant to us. The number 10 is very symbolic and is retrieved in the following context the 10:
- Plagues
- Commandments
- Utterances to create the world
All being linked to the concept of the 10 Sefirot ( spheres) in Kabalah.
It is therefore a great opportunity to introduce the tree of life /Sefirot concept.
