(1) When God began to create heaven and earth— (3) God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. (5) God called the light Day, and the darkness God called Night. There was evening and there was morning, a first day.
(6) God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the water, that it may separate water from water.” (8) God called the expanse Sky. There was evening and there was morning, a second day.
(9) God said, “Let the water below the sky be gathered into one area, that dry land may appear.” (10) God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering of waters God called Seas. (11) And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation: seed-bearing plants, fruit trees of every kind on earth that bear fruit with the seed in it.” (13) There was evening and there was morning, a third day.
(14) God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate day from night; they shall serve as signs for the set times—the days and the years; (16) God made the sun, the moon and stars. (17) God set them in the sky to shine on the earth, (18) to dominate the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. (19) There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.
(20) God said, “Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures, and birds that fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.” (22) God blessed them, saying, “Be fertile and increase, fill the waters in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” (23) There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
(24) God said, “Let the earth bring forth every kind of living creature: cattle, creeping things, and wild beasts of every kind.” (25) God made wild beasts and cattle of every kind, and all kinds of creeping things on the earth. (26) God said, “Let us make (hu)man in our image, after our likeness. They shall rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the cattle, the whole earth, and all the creeping things on earth.” (27) And God created (hu)man in God's image, in the image of God Adonai created [them]; male and female God created them. (28) God blessed them and God said to them, “Be fertile and increase, fill the earth and master it; and rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and all the living things that creep on earth.”
(4) Such is the story of heaven and earth when they were created. When Adonai God made earth and heaven— ...(7) Adonai God formed man from the dust of the earth. God blew into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being. (8) Adonai God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and placed there the man whom God had formed....
(15) Adonai God took the man and placed him in the garden of Eden, to till it and tend it.
(1) Give ear, O heavens, let me speak; Let the earth hear the words I utter! (2) May my discourse come down as the rain, My speech distill as the dew, Like showers on young growth, Like droplets on the grass. (3) For the name of Adonai I proclaim; Give glory to our God!
(1) Of Solomon. O God, endow the ruler with Your judgments, the ruler's child with Your righteousness;...
(3) Let the mountains produce well-being for the people, the hills, the reward of justice.
(4) Let them champion the lowly among the people, deliver the needy folk, and crush those who wrong them.
(5) Let them fear You as long as the sun shines, while the moon lasts, generations on end. (6) Let the ruler be like rain that falls on a mown field, like a downpour of rain on the ground,
(7) that the righteous may flourish in his time, and well-being abound, till the moon is no more.
(8) Let the ruler rule from sea to sea, from the river to the ends of the earth.
(9) Let desert-dwellers kneel before them, and their enemies lick the dust.
(10) Let rulers of Tarshish and the islands pay tribute, rulers of Sheba and Seba offer gifts. ...(16) Let abundant grain be in the land, to the tops of the mountains; let the ruler's crops thrive like the forest of Lebanon; and let people sprout up in towns like country grass.
(17) May the ruler's name be eternal; while the sun lasts, may their name endure; let people invoke their blessedness upon themselves; let all nations count them happy.
(19) Blessed is God's glorious name forever; God's glory fills the whole world. Amen and Amen.

(12) The blossoms have appeared in the land, The time of pruning has come; The song of the turtledove Is heard in our land. (13) The green figs form on the fig tree, The vines in blossom give off fragrance. Arise, my darling; My fair one, come away!
(7) For Adonai your God is bringing you into a good land, a land with streams and springs and fountains issuing from plain and hill; (8) a land of wheat and barley, of vines, figs, and pomegranates, a land of olive trees and honey; (9) a land where you may eat food without stint, where you will lack nothing; a land whose rocks are iron and from whose hills you can mine copper. (10) When you have eaten your fill, give thanks to Adonai your God for the good land which God has given you.
