The word "Vashti" appears in ten verses in the Book of Esther. While Vashti is generally not hailed as a hero (or a teacher!), her name --ו-ש-ת-י -- could also be read as "v'shtei" (and there were two) and could be beautifully (ושתי) interpreted that we can look at Vashti with two faces: (1) that which history has granted her and (2) that which she has granted us.

#3. You always have the option to say no!
#4. There will always be consequences for your actions.
#5. You can NEVER make everyone happy. Stop trying!

#7. There are some people (and places) who will "cancel" you for your sharing "unpopular" thoughts.
#8. Be memorable: people won't always remember what you said, but they'll always remember how you made them feel.
#9. (A LESSON VASHTI IS STILL LEARNING!): Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you. (Okay, okay, so this one was Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, but I'm pretty sure she would have advising Vashti all the way).
