A Moment of Hebrew
But the more they were oppressed, the more they increased and spread out (yifrotz), so that the [Egyptians] came to dread the Israelites.
To spread out, erupt, break into -- לִפְרֹץ (שֹׁרֶשׁ פ.ר.צ)
פִּרְצָה = opening/loophole
Gulf or bay
To burst out laughing
Volcano eruption
Find the Word!
There is someone in Sefer Bereishit whose name comes from this שֹׁרֶשׁ (shoresh, root). Can you find who it is? (Hint: he is a twin! See Bereishit 38:29 for the answer.)
