Guide to Making Your DIY Haggadah
Can you believe that Passover is less than a month away? We want to help you make this year's seder even more special, and more personal, with your own custom Haggadah.
To make the process even easier, we have a brand new sheets editor that we’d love for you to try. The new interface makes creating a sheet more like making a regular text document while ensuring your creation will look beautiful in the library. You can learn more about how to enable and use the new editor with our handy tutorial.
Follow the steps below to get started with creating your own Haggadah!
Choose Your Template
You can choose from our standard Ashkenaz and Edot HaMizrach Haggadah templates. Sign in to your free Sefaria account, then make a copy of one of these sheets to start editing your own.
Explore Interesting Content
Take a look at our Passover Topic Page (and related topics in the sidebar) to see what other Sefaria users have to say about the holiday, seder, or Haggadah. Use other sheets as inspiration, or quote someone else’s commentary that resonates with you.
Have content from outside Sefaria you want to add? Try adding some poetry, inspiring quotes, or commentaries — just make sure to cite your sources!
Make it Multimedia
You can add images to your Haggadah, too. Maybe you have related art by yourself or family members that you want to add, or photos you’ve taken that will add some special meaning to your seder experience.
Add Art to Your Haggadah
Will you be using the Haggadah digitally instead of in print? Add some videos from YouTube or audio from SoundCloud to really bring it to life.
