רֶגַע שֶׁל עִבְרִית A Moment of Hebrew
וַיִּמָּֽסְרוּ֙ מֵאַלְפֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֶ֖לֶף לַמַּטֶּ֑ה שְׁנֵים־עָשָׂ֥ר אֶ֖לֶף חֲלוּצֵ֥י צָבָֽא׃
So a thousand from each tribe were handed over from the divisions of Israel, twelve thousand picked for the army campaign.
לִמְסֹר limsor (שֹׁרֶשׁ מ.ס.ר)
- To transfer or deliver

מְסִירוֹת (mesirot) = The game of catch
מִסְרוֹן (misron) = SMS, text message
מָסֹרֶת (masoret) = Tradition (what gets passed down)
מֶסֶר (meser) = A message or idea, or the moral of the story
מְסִירוּת נֶפֶשׁ (mesirut nefesh) = Self-sacrifice, complete devotion
Find the Word!
