Questions:
Why does God decide to tell Abraham what God is about to do?
What does God do before taking action and why?
Questions:
1 - Why did Abraham care about what happened to the people of Sodom and Gemorrah? How do we maintain compassion for those we don’t know, especially if they may be far away/removed from our everyday lives?
2 - Do you think it was difficult for Abraham to say something to God? Why didn't he just stay quiet? Have you ever had an experience of standing up to someone with power or can you think of a historical example of that happening?
3 - Look closely at how Abraham made his objection. What do you notice about his approach? Was there anything he did which might have helped him to be convincing?
4 - Do you think people can learn from their mistakes? Or are there times when choosing to cut people out is the only option? After this episode, God finds less than ten righteous souls in these cities and then destroys them. Did God do the right thing? Why or why not?
