(1) A psalm of David. (2) O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is Your name throughout the earth,You who have covered the heavens with Your splendor! (3) From the mouths of infants and sucklings You have founded strength on account of Your foes, to put an end to enemy and avenger.-a (4) When I behold Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and stars that You set in place, (5) what is man that You have been mindful of him, mortal man that You have taken note of him, (6) that You have made him little less than divine,cOr “the angels.” and adorned him with glory and majesty; (7) You have made him master over Your handiwork, laying the world at his feet, (8) sheep and oxen, all of them, and wild beasts, too; (9) the birds of the heavens, the fish of the sea, whatever travels the paths of the seas. (10) O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is Your name throughout the earth!

(10) You made Your wind blow, the sea covered them;
They sank like lead in the majestic waters.

(18) And יקוק answered Moses, “Single out Joshua son of Nun, an inspired man, and lay your hand upon him. (19) Have him stand before Eleazar the priest and before the whole community, and commission him in their sight. (20) Invest him with some of your authority, so that the whole Israelite community may obey.

(ח) וַיִּקְרָ֧א אֱלֹקִ֛ים לָֽרָקִ֖יעַ שָׁמָ֑יִם וַֽיְהִי־עֶ֥רֶב וַֽיְהִי־בֹ֖קֶר י֥וֹם שֵׁנִֽי׃ {פ}

(8) God called the expanse Sky. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.

(26) And God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness. They shall rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the cattle, the whole earth, and all the creeping things that creep on earth.”
(27) And God created humankind in the divine image,
creating it in the image of God—
creating them male and female.
(28) God blessed them and God said to them, “Be fertile and increase, fill the earth and master it; and rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and all the living things that creep on earth.”

mortal man, that You should think of him?
(4) Man is like a breath;
his days are like a passing shadow.

(1) Thus said GOD:
The heaven is My throne
And the earth is My footstool:
Where could you build a house for Me,
What place could serve as My abode?
