(18) And on that day shall the deaf hear the words of a book, And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness.
(ד) אִמְרוּ לְנִמְהֲרֵי לֵב חִזְקוּ אַל תִּירָאוּ הִנֵּה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם נָקָם יָבוֹא גְּמוּל אֱלֹהִים הוּא יָבוֹא וְיֹשַׁעֲכֶם. (ה) אָז תִּפָּקַחְנָה עֵינֵי עִוְרִים וְאָזְנֵי חֵרְשִׁים תִּפָּתַחְנָה. (ו) אָז יְדַלֵּג כָּאַיָּל פִּסֵּחַ וְתָרֹן לְשׁוֹן אִלֵּם כִּי נִבְקְעוּ בַמִּדְבָּר מַיִם וּנְחָלִים בָּעֲרָבָה.
(4) Say to them that are of a fearful heart: ‘Be strong, fear not’; Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense, God will come and save you. (5) Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. (6) Then shall the lame man leap as a gazelle, And the tongue of the dumb shall sing; For in the wilderness shall waters break out, And streams in the desert.

(ז) הִנְנִי מֵבִיא אוֹתָם מֵאֶרֶץ צָפוֹן וְקִבַּצְתִּים מִיַּרְכְּתֵי אָרֶץ בָּם עִוֵּר וּפִסֵּחַ הָרָה וְיֹלֶדֶת יַחְדָּו קָהָל גָּדוֹל יָשׁוּבוּ הֵנָּה. (ח) בִּבְכִי יָבֹאוּ וּבְתַחֲנוּנִים אוֹבִילֵם אוֹלִיכֵם אֶל נַחֲלֵי מַיִם בְּדֶרֶךְ יָשָׁר לֹא יִכָּשְׁלוּ בָּהּ כִּי הָיִיתִי לְיִשְׂרָאֵל לְאָב וְאֶפְרַיִם בְּכֹרִי הוּא. (ט) שִׁמְעוּ דְבַר יְהוָה גּוֹיִם וְהַגִּידוּ בָאִיִּים מִמֶּרְחָק וְאִמְרוּ מְזָרֵה יִשְׂרָאֵל יְקַבְּצֶנּוּ וּשְׁמָרוֹ כְּרֹעֶה עֶדְרוֹ.
(7) Behold, I will bring them from the north country, And gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, And with them the blind and the lame, The woman with child and her that travails with child together; A great company shall they return to here. (8) They shall come with weeping, And with supplications will I lead them; I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, In a straight way and they shall not stumble; For I shall be a Parent to Israel, And Ephraim is My first-born. (9) Hear the word of God, all you nations, And declare it in the isles afar off, and say: ‘Israel who is scattered, God shall gather; And keep them, as a shepherd does his flock.’
Radak on Jeremiah 31:7
בם עור ופסח- יבאו בנחת שאפילו העור והפסח שיהיו בם וההרה והיולדת ילכו לאטם ואדוני אבי ז''ל פ' ואמר כל כך ואובילם בנחת דרך
ישר עד שיוכלו ללכת עמהם עוד פסח והרה ויולדת ולא יכשלו בהליכתם
Together with the blind and the lame: They will come unhurriedly so that even the blind and the lame that will be among them, and the pregnant one and the one giving birth will walk slowly. And my father z''l interprets the verse "And I will lead them slowly on a straight path" until the blind and the lame and the pregnant one and the one giving birth will be able to walk with them without stumbling as they walk.
A Question of Identity: Just who am I, Anyhow?

Come and see that everyone that Kadosh Baruch Hu struck in this world, God will heal them in the times to come. The blind will be healed as it is said (Isaiah 35): "Then the eyes of the blind will be opened." And the lame will be healed as it is said (ibid): "Then the lame will leap like a gazelle and the tongue of the mute shall sing." And just as a man leaves, so he comes [back]. If he leaves blind, he comes [back] blind. [If he leaves] deaf, he comes [back] deaf. [If he leaves] mute, he comes [back] mute. Just as he leaves clothed, he comes [back] clothed....
